He was as big as a wall, walking toward you. Acted like a tough guy, but had a heart as big as he was. Underneath it all, Cecil Hopper was one of the sweetest people I know. He was a dear friend and I will miss him terribly. His mother phoned me today to tell me of his death on Friday, Dec 9th,2005. We had just spoken on Thursday evening and I received a beautiful Christmas card from him the same night. Cecil told me he wanted to move down here to Florida, and get a new start in warm weather.
