This is what love's supposed to be! #Other

Several years ago, I opened a Bikerkiss account. I figured, I could find some ladies to ride with, and what the heck, you never know... But then I met a man - not on BK - and we started dating. Some months later, he asked me to marry him, and I did. He moved into my home, and then viciously abused me for two straight years, and robbed me of everything I had, leaving my family under a mountain of debt. Then, thank God, he just walked out. I was traumatized and scared of what would happen next, I knew I'd have to sell my house, and move far away, but I was also relieved... A few weeks later, I went out on a date with a man I'd met, and he turned out to be a married scumbag (He wouldn't admit it - I found out on my own the next day). ...I had completely forgotten about my BK account, for all that time - over 2 years! - until a few days later, when I got an email telling me that some members had viewed my profile... A free woman now, I "Golded-Up" my membership (best money I ever spent!), and in a very short time saw Steve's profile. What a cutie, trying to look so tough on his Harley in that picture (I later learned that his Mom shot the picture!) I wrote simply, "Hey!"... ...A week later, he arrived at my house for our first date - 10 minutes early! - Aarrgghh!!! I was in my ratty pajamas and my duct-taped slippers (just about to get dressed in my jeans for our casual date) when Steve simply walked in the door (as I had instructed). I yelled from my laundry room, "You're early!" and rounded the corner to see Steve standing there in my dining room, beaming at me. I said, "Oh, my God, you're so handsome!" and he said, "Thank you for saying that." (he thinks he's not good looking.) "Come here.", he said. We wrapped our arms around each other, and that was it - We knew. Turns out, Steve had pretty much given up all hope of ever finding the "right" woman, but his family had prodded him into trying "online dating". He didn't hold out much hope for success... He said later that he just saw something in my eyes and my smile, and he immediately knew we'd be together for the rest of our lives. Within one year, I was divorced, sold my home where I'd lived most of my life, my grown kids found homes, and Steve and I bought an old, cruddy house on a lake in the country. We're fixing it up together everyday. His beagles, Cliff and Norm, get along well with my (now HIS) Gordon Setter, Mary, and we walk them all together in the woods. It seems that most of our time nowadays is spent at Home Depot or Lowe's, where we have a blast together, hand-in-hand, buying tools and building supplies for our home (don't worry, Steve's a carpenter by trade). And what about riding? Well, that's the ironic part: My ex-husband basically stole my Harley Lowrider, along with everything else he took, so that first spring and summer, I rode on the back of Steve's Street Glide. I actually loved riding on his back with my arms around him... But we needed more money for our house (it was really a dump!), so Steve sold his beloved, brand new Street Glide. I still can't believe anyone would do such a thing - for me! So, we met on BIKERKISS and now we haven't a bike between us, but we don't care. I never thought I could be so happy, and Steve cannot believe his luck in finding me. We argue all the time over which one of us is the luckiest, so our song is, 'The Luckiest', by Ben Folds. We are two parts of one, truly. Meant to be together, forever. And don't worry, we'll be back in the saddle when the house is finished - Steve's going to build me a custom chopper - small enough for my short arms and legs and fast enough to keep up with him, so I guess it'll have to be mighty fast!
